When Interbrand developed the World Gold Council’s new brand; luxury, quality and excellence were all key themes driving the design language.

So, when a range of very high-quality lobby ID signs were needed to express the brand and launch it across the groups global head offices, Harkess-Ord were appointed to design and deliver these very prestigious products.

From day one, our design team’s aim was to create a signage product with the same level of timeless craftsmanship as the very best high-end gold jewelry.

Working with gold leaf specialists and precious metal polishers, we explored a huge range of letterset and logo finish options to give the perfect blend of manufacture precision combined with the historical attributes of hand finishing.
Our final design was a stunning expression of the World Gold Council brand. We kept it elegantly simple allowing the quality of the materials and finish to speak for themselves. Our final design featured a black mirror finished 18mm acrylic rear panel with hand-finished 23.5 carat gold leaf letters.

Eight individual Lobby ID Signs were manufactured to the same exceptionally high standards and carefully shipped to the World Gold Council’s Head Offices in London, New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Mumbai and Chennai.

Our regional implementation teams managed all aspect of the on-site installs, ensuring the same level of services and quality was achieved at every site.
