Our Story

While working on the client side of rebranding in the late 80’s, founder and CEO Graeme Ord identified that a rebrand was something that was invariably a new event for the key people within an organization due to the period of time since the previous identity change. 
 
Graeme recognized the need for an experienced company that was independent of manufacturing supply chains, client focused and able to bring three-dimensional innovation and practical delivery to the world of brand application.
 
So in 1989 Harkess-Ord was formed as the pioneers of our unique industry and for over 25 years we have been at the forefront of brand implementation in the built environment.


  • Shell Canopy

    Shell

    Our history within the petroleum industry goes back to the early days of our company, where we were responsible for the technical design and prototyping of the new Shell RVI identity. The monolith panels were manufactured using drainage pipe manufacturing technology – a revolutionary first, which delivered cost savings to Shell of 50% under that of the previous VM identity.


  • British Airways Check In Desk

    British Airways

    We established the strategy for British Airways reimaging of over 450 airports, travel shops and corporate offices during a one-year program. The benefit to British Airways was in achieving maximum impact of the new identity by guiding each passenger segment through every touchpoint.


  • Identity Volkswagen

    Volkswagen

    Harkess-Ord managed the reimaging program including 200 Audi and 300 Volkswagen showrooms. We played a key role in the education and communication of the new brand to VW’s retailer network, and were responsible for the 3D interpretation of the brand elements for the UK marketplace.
