AkzoNobel

Background

AkzoNobel appointed Harkess-Ord early in 2008 to rollout their new brand identity on a global basis, across approximately 700 sites. Using our proven product delivery platform and survey database management systems, we began a dual track survey and design development schedule. Working closely with AkzoNobel’s design team and Pentagram London, we quickly formed an initial fast-track signage system to be installed 6 months in advance of the main programme and began a full survey schedule to establish the live site requirements.

Design Development

Dedicated product development was undertaken to enhance the 3D language of the logo using a wide range of moulding techniques and this was combined to use the latest AkzoNobel paint technology to create a signage system that establishes both the brand personality and latest product specifications.

Implementation

Having completed the rollout of flagship Landmark sites in the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe, AkzoNobel was equipped with everything they needed to enable an on-going roll-out which is still continuing.
