On 1 November 2009, StatoilHydro, Norway's largest company changed its name to Statoil with the launch of a new visual corporate identity.

Working closely with the Oslo based branding agency the Scandinavian Design Group, Harkess-Ord designed and developed a suite of ‘iconic’ corporate signage for launch at four prestigious locations in Norway.

The products incorporated innovative use of photographic imagery, specialist glass processing, cutting edge LED technology and a new to industry processes to create a high quality presentation of the three-dimensional brand mark.

With a challenging timeframe, the signs were designed, engineered and manufactured in a matter of weeks. Working closely with our local assembly and installation partners under extreme weather conditions, all signage was installed over the launch weekend and illumination was switched on for the high profile launch event, broadcast to all Statoil locations worldwide.

We have now completed the survey of all Statoil’s corporate facilities globally, developed and engineered a comprehensive new sign family and are currently managing the rolling-out for completion of the worldwide re-brand in mid 2010
