Doug Tarabini Joins Harkess-Ord New York as Head of Design, Americas

Harkess-Ord New York is excited to announce Doug Tarabini joining the firm as Head of Design. He comes most recently from Gilmore Group, with previous roles at Momentum Worldwide and Arnell. Doug will lead the efforts in our high fidelity interpretations of visual identities created by our creative agency partners and in-house brand teams into branded environments, and signage and wayfinding systems.

Doug Tarabini has built an impressive portfolio over 19 years, working with leading brands like Walgreens, Wells Fargo, PepsiCo, and American Express. As a multidisciplinary designer, Doug’s strategic and innovative thinking has created holistic and impactful brand experiences for Capital One’s first-ever retail flagship, the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, SoBe Lifewater packaging, and entertainment events such as the NBA All-Star Weekend.

Reflecting on this new role, Doug shares, "What I find most unique and exciting about Harkess-Ord is our ability to deliver world-class environmental solutions that integrate brand, design, and engineering."

He holds a Bachelor of Communication Design from California State University, Chico and a Master of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute. His work has been published in Rolling Stone, SoHo, and Axxis Magazine’s Top 100 Design Projects of 2007, and has been exhibited at Felissimo Design House, the Municipal Art Society in New York City, and the Danish International Furniture Design Show in Copenhagen, Denmark.
