Coastal visibility for the Statoil brand

Providing high impact branding in hostile marine environments is always a challenge. When Statoil asked us to rebrand their tank farm in Kårstø Norway, our teams were looking at a complex logo, with a difficult graphic fade and a massive size requirement of 60m.

We quickly realized that traditional vinyl applications would not provide the product life Statoil needed, but the complex nature of the logo felt like digital was the only viable way forward.

Our Solution

We solved the problem through utilizing highly advanced paint and artwork techniques that allowed a solid color finish to be used, combined with a cleverly controlled artwork fade designed specifically for paint treatment. This allowed us to offer Statoil all of the benefits of long life, in a harsh environment, through paint application, combined with level controlled gradient that only digital print can offer.
