Illuminating challenging colors on an iconic skyline

For the Thomson Reuters headquarters sign in Canary Wharf, London, the challenge to our design and engineering teams was how to take a very dark colored letterset and make it highly visible, both in the day and when illuminated at night, without compromise to the brand color or design.

The Solution

We sourced a dedicated reverse illumination vinyl system for the letter faces.
This direction allowed us to match the gray Thomson Reuters brand for non-illuminated day time use and offer an all-white system when illuminated at night. Our concept removed the need for outdated external illumination and maximized the Thomson Reuters logo on one of the most iconic skylines in the world.
